Internet access while on the road allows them to do their banking, pay their bills electronically, manage their investments, and keep in touch with family and friends through e-mail. The biggest challenge has been finding places to access the Internet while traveling. More and more camp-grounds are now providing modem hookups in their offices or recreation rooms, but many times RVers need to send and receive e-mail when they are not in a campground.
Many truck stops around the country now have modem hookups. While these are primarily intended for professional truck drivers, RVers are frequently allowed to plug in long enough to send and receive e-mail. We have compiled a list of over truck stops across the country that provide modem access. Now you can access your e-mail wherever you travel. So we have compiled a list of automotive and RV repair facilities recommended by our readers as being first rate people to deal with. No business listed in the guide has paid to be included, and we do not accept advertising for the guide. The only way a business gets our recommendation is through a referral by our readers and RVing friends. Now you can order all seven of our best selling booklets: If you are a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars VFW you have many free and low cost overnight parking opportunities awaiting you all across the United States.
Many VFW Posts welcome traveling veterans who belong to other Posts to pull off the road and spend the night in their parking lots. Some even offer RV hookups! Most Posts do not charge their fellow veterans for this courtesy, and those who do ask only a token fee. We have compiled a list of VFW Posts around the nation that welcome you for a visit. Many Gypsy Journal readers keep their back issue for reference on places they plan to visit in the future.
A great number of our readers purchase some or all of our back issues. We recognize that many people, especially fulltimers, just do not have the space to store a big stack of newspapers. As supplies of certain issues become depleted, we have no way to reprint them. Now we have found a solution that will work for many of you. The CD is an exact reproduction of the Gypsy Journal , just as it looks in the printed version, but in an easy to store and use electronic format.

In the past, we have published several articles on special topics related to the RV lifestyle that we continue to get requests for reprints of. We have made those articles available as reports that will be e-mailed directly to your inbox. Just click on the shopping cart icon below each report to order. However, if we are on the road traveling, sometimes it takes us a day or two to receive and process your order.
We will e-mail your information immediately upon accessing our website. We cannot supply these reports by snail mail, only by e-mail.
Motorhome, Trailer Life, Highways, and RV Business are magazines that have published articles by Gaylord every month for more than 30 years. He is just one of the many wonderful people we have met at LOW. Even after having taken many of the courses, we want to go back each year because we love the people and the environment. Unfortunately, Gaylord passed away in and without his guidance to carry on, the RV Life on Wheels came to an end.
We can only hope that a replacement program will arise under someone else. The need for such a program has been proven. These are some of the LOW courses we have taken: New England Charlie Minshall Quartzside: The information in this site is a collection of data we derived from the vendors and from our personal experiences.
The recommendations we make are from our personal experiences and we do not receive any compensation for those recommendations. RV Life on Wheels.
